Brown Skin Girl

Description

Beyoncé released the video for Brown Skin Girl today and I'm so excited that the world will get a chance to see the beautiful visuals. I purchased a Disney+ subscription to watch Black is King back in July and the Brown Skin Girl video was my favourite part of the film. 

In addition to celebrating brown skin, Beyoncé also highlights her love for afro textured hair as she sings; "I love everything about you, from your nappy curls". 

Black girls with afro textured hair can watch the video with a sense of pride as they see all of the stunning braided styles on display. 

The media are often trying to pit women against each other with comparisons and negativity so it's wonderful to see women embracing each other. Well done Beyoncé! May God continue to use you to uplift His people.
